Welcome to the Stanford Preschool Study site!

The Stanford Preschool Study is a collaboration between the departments of Psychology and Pediatrics at Stanford University. In this study, we are inviting families who participated in the Stanford Preterm Birth Study during their pregnancies to attend a preschool follow-up session at our laboratory.
We are interested in how early experiences, including the environment during pregnancy, may shape child development. In particular, we are studying the behavior, emotions, and brain activity of 3-5-year-old children.
We hope our work will inform prevention and early intervention strategies that enhance child and family psychological wellbeing.
